Dak Lak, Vietnam is one of the provinces with large forest areas but low forest cover due to illegal logging. The economy of local people is also facing many difficulties. TreeChain Network will plant 10,000 new trees to help solve this problem.
According to the statistics of the Dak Lak Provincial FPD, in 2017, functional forces discovered and processed 1,407 cases of violation of forest law, confiscated 2,441.7 m3 of timber and 717 means of collection state budget is more than 18.8 billion.
This has led to severe degradation of forest resources in Dak Lak province in recent years, causing serious consequences. Every year there are many landslides, floods, flash floods, causing many casualties, traffic is divided, damage many assets, …
In order to actively contribute to the restoration and support of local people, TreeChain Network will research and plant more than 10,000 trees in Dak Lak that help:
⬥ Enhances ecosystem functionality by allowing regeneration of degraded forests and stopping deforestation.
⬥ Works to provide legal land-use permits that will result in official land titles for those villages that actively participate in forest protection.
⬥ Improves access to communication in the area, and training locals in sustainable agroforestry techniques.
After planting, 10,000 trees will be planned and attached to biochips, all tree changes will become Smart Trees. It’s help to manage and protect them better.
